About Us

We represent the next generation of high altitude mountaineers. Climbers Noah McKelvin and Ryan Halsey have a dream of climbing the 14, 8,0000m peaks in the winter. Something that has never been done or even attempted before. We are 16 with a bright future ahead of us. Our dream is not just to accomplish our goals but to inspire everyone to chase there dreams until they can't be chased anymore. Dream on!

Some people in this world just go after what everyone else does. In fact thats what most people do. Noah McKelvin and Ryan Halsey are different though. They want to be the first ones to climb the 14, 8,000m peaks not in the summer, but in the winter. Some people critisize there dream but there not stopping from going to the top. They met and became quick friends with the dream they had in common. There stories are quite different from how they got started. They made one very important point though. They want you to chase your dream with them all the way to the top with nothing stopping you!

This Is Noah's Story.
My dream started in an odd way and not in a way you would expect it to be started. It was in July of 2005, when I was 13, in which it all started. I didn’t know really anything about mountaineering except that Everest was enormous. I had been hiking every once in a while and found joy in it but I really didn’t think I would ever want to climb mountains like the 8,000m peaks. I had no knowledge of them actually. Then, I had a dream one night in July. I dreamt of me climbing Everest and when I was almost to the top, I fell through a crevasse and died. I woke up and had an interest like never before. Not to die climbing but the growing obsession of wanting to climb all over the world! That was the starting point of my dream. I wanted to get way more information on the 8,000m peaks and the more I found out the more I wanted to climb it. I read books and more books about them. Still today I’m enhancing my knowledge on them. Things just fell into my dream and with the past 2 years and whole future ahead of me, my dream of climbing the 14, 8,000m peaks in the winter will never fade.

This is Ryan's Story.
My dream started when I was about 7 years old. I was at the beach when my dream started to unfold for me. Me and my family went to the IMAX theatre to see the Everest movie. I was fascinated. I realized that I wanted to do this in the future. Dreams as a kid seem so good but eventually for the majority of kids they find what there really interested in and pursue that. The dream fell away eventually, and I was concerned with other things. I kept it in the back of my mind, but had no urge to climb. Then I saw the first season of Everest: Beyond the Limit. This was the real set off my dream. I was old enough and knew I wanted to do it. This is the real thing. I am now obsessed with mountaineering and learning more and more about the 14, 8,000m peaks. You never can learn enough about them. I also follow expeditions throughout the year. If you see me on the computer at school, 90% of the time, it is a mountaineering website. I can't wait to get started.
